Power surge as DT scoops Lambda award and hires product manager for power supplies

DT Electronics has won Lambda’s ‘Distributor of the Year (Non-Catalogue)’ award and has hired Martin Langmead as a product manager for power supplies as its sales of power products grow strongly.

The Lambda award recognises the distributor’s continued success in achieving design wins for the company’s AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies. “The establishment of a dedicated power products division with specialists who really understand the issues surrounding the selection and application of power supplies is paying off with a growing number of design wins and increasing sales,” said Gerry Hewitt, marketing director at DT Electronics, “This award is recognition of our success in design-in work for Lambda.”

Martin Langmead (48) joins the company from Ultimate Renaissance where he spent 7 years as Area Sales Manager for standard and customised power systems. He has 17 years’ experience in the power supply business and is a qualified electronics engineer. His role at DT Electronics will be to provide technical and commercial support to the sales team.
