DT Electronics scoops 'Best European Independent Distributor' award from Atmel

Coventry based DT Electronics has been named ‘Best European Independent Distributor’ at the recent Atmel sales conference in Marrakech. It is the first time this award has been given by Atmel in recognition of the important role that specialist independent distributors now play in its network. DT Electronics has won seven of Atmel’s last nine quarterly design-in awards and the reward for this design work has been rapid organic sales growth. With the exception of pan-Europeans, DT is Atmel’s largest distributor in Europe and the fastest growing.

“This once again shows how effective a focused, design-led distributor can be”, commented DT Electronics’ managing director, Tony Frere. “We have maintained a policy of working with a limited number of suppliers and delivering exceptional results for them. It’s great to see this recognition of the efforts of all of the Atmel team here,” he added.

Atmel’s Distribution Sales Manager, Adrian Elms commented, “DT Electronics has made an outstanding contribution and has had particular success with AVR and ARM microcontrollers. Their design-in, sales and marketing skills are clearly match the best in the industry,” concluded Elms.
